Woke up this morning to find myself nearly 4 pounds lighter. Of course, this was just sheer volume of food and water. I’d imagine there’ll be one more day of 2 pounds or so before getting to a base level.
Some serious hunger pangs toward the end of the day today. This time, I had a shake left to finish off the evening. I know it’s best not to eat right before bed time, but I don’t think they mean a 100-calorie chicken soup packet.
Breakfast was, again, the soup, and a banana tided me over until close to lunchtime. Then, I had the Creole Chicken meal, which I will not be ordering again. Goops of tomatoey rice with horrible chicken inside. Revolting. Then, I opened the 1 lb bag of baby carrots I had at work…which I proceeded to eat straight through. I think the chewing gave me the horrible headache I got. Another banana, then a dinner when I got home…Chicken Pasta Parmesan. I’m sure no resident of Parma would recognize it.
It’s more than a bit annoying that so many of the dishes have some sort of tomato base…it just gets a little old.
As previously mentioned, another chicken soup finished up the day.
Tomorrow will be a challenge, as I have no idea whether or not there’s a microwave at CAB, and I have to be there 10am-10pm, more or less. I have 2 servings of carrots and more than that of grapes to bring…we’ll see how it goes.
I had a conversation today with someone else discussing their weight management issues, and I realized that I have a certain freedom granted by the time of my life. This person is single, a bit younger than I am and lives in downtown KC. Such a large percentage of their social activity involves late nights (and drinking) that it would be really difficult to avoid a situation where you’re presented with lots of bad dietary choices. To some degree, I can avoid that, but it does involve avoiding nightlife. I can’t quite figure out how I could integrate that with my diet program…the sheer hours spent out on the town would make it horribly difficult to bring appropriate nourishment. Perhaps I need a murse.
Music video for the day:
The song named “Ultimate Rock Song of the 70s” in a book I have somewhere around the house. An all-time classic.
